Prom will be held on Saturday, March 10 at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

How much does prom cost?
Where is a list of restaurants to eat at close to the area? We are working with the venue to compile a list of restaurants close to the venue. Stay tuned!
Do I have to pay for parking? No, Fernbank has its own designated parking lot.
How can I pay for a prom ticket? You may purchase on My Payments Plus.
I am technically classified as a Sophomore but I earned enough credit for Junior status after Fall Semester and I will graduate at the end of next year. Can I come to the Prom? Yes. Just have your guidance counselor e-mail Mrs. McCullough to let her know of your change in credits. Pay for a ticket and you are all set to come to the Prom!
Do I have to pay more if my date doesn't go to CHHS? The cost of a date ticket will be the same as the student ticket. See above. Date tickets will be $75 in January through March 1. After March 1, date tickets will be $80.
Do I have to pay more if my date is a freshman or sophomore at CHHS? No. See above. The cost of a date ticket will be the same as the student ticket.
Is it OK to come to the Prom solo? In 2017, the majority of students who purchased tickets did so with groups of friends instead of a specific date!
What if I have a fine? Your prom ticket will be withheld until you clear all fines with the school. This includes media center, cafeteria, parking, and textbook.
Is there a dress code for the Prom? Yes. This is a formal event and the attire should reflect the formality of the event.
Will there be chaperones at the Prom? Absolutely. There is a very visible adult presence at the Prom. In 2017, this included the following: uniformed Gwinnett Police Officers, CHHS administrators, and CHHS teachers/staff.
Will food be available at the Prom? Proof of Pudding is the caterer for this event. There will be light salty and sweet snacks available for students along with beverages. This year, we will have a popcorn bar and an ice cream sundae line. When students leave, there will be a candy bag available to take home as a gift.
What type of entertainment will be at the Prom? CHHS Alum Daniel Espeute with Espeute Entertainment will provide DJ services. Daniel brings an outstanding sound system, laser/light show, and video panels that come together to make for a fantastic atmosphere!
I'm picking my child up after the Prom, what time should I be there? The prom is over at 11:00pm. Please arrive no later than 11:00pm.
Does CHHS sponsor any sort of after prom function? No. Many families host after-parties for their student but CHHS does not sponsor an after party. Please note that once you leave prom, you will not be allowed back into prom. Once you leave, you cannot come back.
When can I pick up my ticket? Ticket distribution will be in the gym lobby during 4th period-6th period on March 5-8. You must have your photo ID to pick up your ticket. No tickets will be given during Friday, March 9 as we are occupied making final preparations for the event.
Can a parent or friend pick up a student's prom ticket? No. Students must pick up their individual ticket and show their photo ID. This is for security purposes. Please come during March 5-8 to pick up your ticket. You must also have your photo ID. No tickets will be given to parents.
When is next year's Prom? We will announce the 2019 Prom date during May 2018.
